NAVER Cloud Platform announced that the mobile game developer Thumb Age implemented GAMEPOT, a cloud-based game development and management platform, on its games.

Thumb Age develops various genres of games, such as RPG, arcade, and strategy simulation. The company is operating its games on more than 150 countries through Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The mobile RPG game Destiny Child: Defense War, which was released in November last year, is a showpiece. In the first half of this year, it is also planning to release new games: DECARON M and Crows.

Thumb Age started implementing GAMEPOT to develop and manage a number of games such as Heart Girl, Arme Blanche, and Evolution Girl. GAMEPOT provides various tools needed for games in the form of a software development kit (SDK) on one integrated platform. Social log-ins and payment can easily be linked with a few lines of codes, and necessary functions for operation can be conveniently controlled on the provided dashboard.

The company executive from Thumb Age states:

NAVER Cloud’s GAMEPOT greatly shortens the development period and reduces resources needed to develop and operate games by not having to develop common game functions, such as in-game payment, SNS logins, KPIs, ranking, and Push.

“GAMEPOT can accelerate development phase of games by months and significantly reduce resources and costs needed for development and operation,” said Lim Tae-gun, the executive director of NAVER Cloud Platform. And he added, “The differentiated advantage is that every functionality can be easily managed on one integrated platform even after development — for operation and management.”
